UK Post by Bad Otter

UK-first shipping infrastructure for WooCommerce.

UK Post gives British WooCommerce stores a focused shipping foundation for delivery methods, UK regions, package profiles, dispatch workflows and carrier integrations as they become available.

Requires WordPress 6.9 or newer, WooCommerce 10.8 or newer and PHP 7.4 or newer.

Install in WordPress

From download to activation in five steps.

Use the Stable ZIP exactly as downloaded. WordPress expects the plugin ZIP itself, so do not unzip it before uploading.

  1. Download the current Stable ZIP from this page.
  2. In WordPress Admin, go to Plugins → Add Plugin → Upload Plugin.
  3. Choose the downloaded UK Post ZIP, select Install Now, then activate UK Post.
  4. Make sure WooCommerce is installed and active; UK Post requires WooCommerce.
  5. Open UK Post in wp-admin and work through the setup wizard for your store.
Shipping foundation

Built for the UK market from the start.

UK-first shipping

Postcode-aware shipping foundations, UK terminology, dispatch settings, package profiles and configurable regions are built around British WooCommerce stores.

WooCommerce-native

UK Post registers a customer-facing delivery method and is tested against its declared WooCommerce minimum and tested-up-to profiles, including HPOS and Cart/Checkout Blocks compatibility.

Carrier-ready architecture

Carrier interfaces, shipment data, labels and tracking foundations are separated from the shipping core so Royal Mail and later UK carriers can be added without rebuilding the plugin around one provider.

Release integrity

The Bad Otter download is the exact published Stable package.

The download above is served from Bad Otter's protected release store only after the stored package passes SHA-256 verification. Draft, private, paid-only and unpublished packages are not eligible for this public route.

Normal WordPress updates remain the goal

Bad Otter is the permanent product home and manual-download source. The plugin does not declare a competing executable update provider; once the WordPress.org listing is live, normal WordPress.org update delivery remains the intended public executable update authority.

Carrier roadmap

Carrier integrations are deliberately progressive.

Royal Mail integration foundations are already present, while live carrier shipment, label and tracking flows are released only after their production requirements and end-to-end behaviour are validated. UK Post does not claim a live carrier capability before that gate is complete.
